Ginger

Walt: Find the main Idea in the Text.

This story is about a horse called Ginger. He did not hang around with other horses. Ginger had been trained to play polo. Ginger was an old horse because he took Ken and her sister to school. Ginger was toffee colour. When Ken and his sister came back from school some big boys threw sticks at Ginger and they tried to take him to the school paddock. Some of the horses were hard to catch but Ginger just walked up to them and he let them pat him. Jane did not like Ginger she said,” Soon she would be dog meat.” Then their dad got sick and they had to move to another town but before they left  they sold Ginger to Jane’s family.

Multiplication and division game

Walt: Solve problems in division and multiplication.

In this game you have to answer all the question before the minutes run out. When you do the test and you get it right it will show 100% if you get it right. When I played this game it was easy because I just started on level 1. If I have time to do it I would go to level 2 to try and get 100% on the maths.

Multiplication Man

Walt: Solve problems in division and multiplication.

This game is multiplication game. This is like pacman but it doesn’t have multiplication. In this game there is these little minions with numbers on them so you can eat them. If you clicked the answer and you eat another answer one of your lives will get taken away. When I tried to get away the minions blocked all the corners so I can’t get through then I died and I had to start all over again.

Types of teeth

Main Idea - Buttons

Walt: Find the main Ideas in the story.

In the story people use buttons to sew it onto something like a gown. The characters in the story is a little girl with her mum and the aunty. Baby as trying to get money so she can go on a school trip. There was a problem because the bus wasn’t cheap it cost her $40 dollars to go on the trip. They sewed buttons onto the dressing gown for abby because she couldn’t find any buttons. Buttons tell stories from the history where they go onto. Abby’s mum and aunty sewed buttons on the dressing gown with some old buttons from some old clothes.

Snowy's friends

snow man maths.png
Walt: find how many sets.

In this game I am learning my division facts. When the game starts you have to pick a division fact that you know.  I went to my 6’s and I got it all right and then the fire snail I don’t know what it is called so I just called it fire snail. When you jump there is little snow ball for you to get. When you get it and it is on the last one a boy or girl will show up with some clothes to put on the snow man. My strategy is to get all my ones to 12 division facts right.

Basic facts - Reflection

Basic facts.png
My basic facts test 2 stage 6 sore was 572.

I did well in arranging the numbers from biggest to smallest. When I did the test I did well in all my subtraction problem’s. The areas that I need to work on is my place value’s. Another area that I need to work on is my multiplication. I work with my sister because she know’s all her multiplication. I will improve by doing my time tables every day with my sister. I can improve my work by practising all of my maths problems like multiplication.

In the next Basic facts I am thinking of getting 100⁒ so I can move onto the next stage which is stage 7.

Teeth

Yesterday afternoon Room 11 made Teeth mallows. When I did the teeth it was very difficult to cut it into little pieces. When I tried to cut it with the knife it was very hard so I went to the board and I opened it and I got the scissor and I cut it. When I put the apple on the marshmallows the apple nearly fell.

A poem - tooth

Tooth.png

Eyes for eyes Teeth for teeth
(Don’t look in the mirror)
Revealing in what lies beneath.

Come on show us your teeth
Let us see what you have
underneath.

Brush my teeth make
it white and shiny like
the underneath.

Then there comes my nerves
Look around and you can see
a curve.

I see a tooth that makes
a root inside a boat there will be a boot.

Search shark

shark.png

Walt: Find the main idea

In this game you have to find the missing word to make the sentence make sense. If you get the answer wrong your face will turn red and the shark will come out with green all over it’s tongue. If you get them right you have to eat these little fish called guppies. I ate 11 guppies because they were swimming in a small spot and I couldn't get them. If the fish are too fast and you can’t get them you can eat other fish that can make up the sentence. When you see the fish you have to click on them to eat them.

Story sequence

assesmenyt.png

In this game I learnt that you have to find the meaning of what they are doing and where they are going. When you try and get the answer to solve the problem you have to try and match the answer. If you finish the sequence it will show how much you got wrong. This game was very difficult because you had to find out where they went.

If the question is to hard you can skip it and you can go onto the next one. When you finish and it showed how much question you got wrong you can go back to it and you can do it again.

We need mouthguards when playing sport

Walt: write a persuasive speech.

We need mouthguards when playing sport.
bu.png         mouthguard.png

Introduction:
The Dental Association has found that of third of all dental injuries are
sports related. In most sport’s people have to wear a mouthguard so there teeth don’t come out. If your teeth comes out it is because you did not put the mouthguard in properly.

I think people people have to wear a mouthguard in sports. If people don’t wear mouthguards in rugby or league they won’t able to play on the field, if there is someone that has mouthguards on any other sports they will get kicked off the court or the field. Wearing a mouthguard is not just to protect the tongue and the jaw it is to protect your cheek’s too.

Mouthguards a very soft. When you buy the mouthguard from the shop or the chemist it will cost heaps of money. If you don’t have much money you can go to the club that you play with and you can get a mouthguard. When people get mouthguards they throw it around sometimes. If I had mouthguard in school I’ll hide it away so know one can steal it. People steal things off people because they might not have the money or they just do it for fun.

If the mouthguard is still hard that means you did not mount it. Mouthguards help your teeth because when you go to tackle them your mouthguard will vibrate and your head will vibrate too. If the mouthguard comes out and someone is trying to catch you pass the ball to someone else so you don’t get hit.

Conclusion:
Few athlete’s wear mouthguards so there teeth don’t come out. People don’t want their teeth to come out because they want to eat things that is very hard. If your teeth can’t fit in the mouthguard you can buy a new one that can fit your mouth.
