Netbook Reflection 2012.

We have had our netbooks for 6 months. We learned how to do new things that we couldn't  do before netbooks. If we didn't have a netbook we wouldn't work as fast and hard. I think having a netbook could make you learn things that you don't know about. If you comment on someone else's school blog you have to make connections with them and be positive and specific about their blog posts.

You can share your blog with your family and your class if they're interested in your writing. Don't be shy to show your blog. If your blog posts get lost, create another one. if you copy it you can easily get your blog post back if you loose it. 

On your netbooks we learn our writing online and we can do our maths on our netbook. If I'm finished my maths I can do other work that I didn't finish because that's what I can do with my netbook.

If I don't know about something and it's too hard I can search the Google page or my class site.

Having a netbook is really important for me that's why I like my netbook for learning new  stuff that I couldn't do before.

Day at the zoo.

After we got to the zoo we got our morning tea out and ate our morning tea. After we ate we started to get into our groups I wanted to go an see the ostrich.

The ostrich is very cool because when they live sand and there is a storm they can put their head under the sand so they can’t get hurt.

The ostrich are the fastest bird in the world. The ostriches have strong legs they can kick people behind them. Then I saw an ostrich that was eating in there shelter. They need a shelter to sleep in if they have no shelter they can’t eat and sleep.

Finally we saw the ostrich but the ostrich was sleeping so I went to the other ostrich it could run to the end of the shelter to the wallabies. Then it was time to go back to school it was a fantastic adventure to the zoo.

going to the beach.

Topic missing at the beach.

One day 5 childrens were going to the beach.
“One of them went missing the name was ifa. He was digging a very big hole so he can put lot’s of sand in. When they Got to the hole ifa was missing so koli went to find ifa,” Then koli screamed very loud because he was lost in the evening. Then siua came and looked for koli to say

“ That’s are very big hole you did. Ifa was wearing a black t-shirt and a red shorts and he wore goggles. After that they found Ifa and said,”

We found you said siua. The fourth boy or girl went to go try to find him but He got lost his name was moko luckily he brought a candle to find his way out. The problem was resolved when moko had the candle in his hand and went to find his way out.

What do i like learning from this
The recent i like learning from this is because If you get lost you cannot find a way out but if you are smart and you brought a candle then you might be the smartest in your class. I think going to the beach is very cool but if you get lost then we have to find you. Going to the beach could be fun but sometimes it could not be fun because someone could get kidnapped at the beach.

Utensils:

Method:
1. you need to taste it
2. you need a knife to cut the sandwich.
3. You have to get a plate.
4. Then you get your sandwich.
5. After that you just relax if that was a nice sandwich.
6. Next you need to put butter on your cheese to make it yumm.

If you like a sandwich go and make your own it will be more yummier if you put cheese and lettuce on the bread and make sure to put some tomatoes.

Argument: I really want to go to the Olympics.


Reason 1: I think that you should send me to london because I am very good.




Reason 2: The nasty people should stay here because they are very nasty.

Reason 4: I will go and watch it and come back with some difficult fact about it.


Reason 5: Mr hendricks you should be in one of the events at the london Olympics 2012.The best event you should be in is the high jump because you are very tall and very fit for it.you should be in the men’s event  because you might be good at it.

The snap went wrong.

                                 At the zoo
                                       
                                 5 november

Early one morning me and my family went to the zoo. We went to the zoo at two o’clock in the morning. We touched the tiger on its tail, it was awesome because we got to take a look at what it can do. Me and my Brother and my sisters and  my Mum and my Dad.

My sisters took a picture of  the tiger and the tiger roared at one of my sisters. One of them quickly ran towards the entry where people enter to come to the zoo. My sister took a picture of it and it started to get angry so it went into the cage and went to calm down. The tiger roared at Her and she started to run to the car.

The  solution was when she had to say sorry to the tiger because the tiger was very upset and very frustrated. The tiger went to go near her she screamed, Loudly she said,
“I don’t want to be in the zoo I want to go back home. She had to say sorry because she made the tiger upset and angry the tiger was happy she smiled at the tiger and they got to touch it.

The tiger is very fast it can climb trees so she started to take a picture of it. I wonder if a tiger can swim can I said,
My sisters. I learnt that you have to behave and to listen what the zookeeper says before you do stuff.

         


         

How to make a kite.

Material: Two sticks 1/4" square is perfect, 1/4" round is good too One stick is 36 inches long and the second is 33 inches long. After that you need a long string to make the kite fly and to make the kite go higher.
Take both your pieces of wood and wrap a layer of masking tape around each end like shown in this picture then use your saw or pocket knife to make a notch in the ends. This notch is for your string and you need masking tape.

Equipment: You need are ruler to measure it and you need are pair of Scissors to make your kite. Then you can go and get the materials.

Step 1. First go and get a stick and are ruler to measure the kite. Then go and get are Scissors to cut the paper into a diamond. After that you can go and fly it outside with the wind.

Step 2. After that the kite will be ready but you need one more thing to make your kite fly you need are string to make your kite fly all the way up to the sky.

Step 3. After you finish your kite you can now fly it in the sky. and now you know how to make are cool kite. Then you can tell your family if you can make one.

How to make toast.

Ingredients:

Equipment:
Toaster
plate
knife

Method:
1. Get a slice of bread out of the bag.
2. Get a plate to put the toast on it.
3. Get a knife to put the ingredients on.
4. Get a knife to cut the toast.
5. Get the toaster out to put your bread on.
6. Put the bread on the plate and butter it.
7. Wait for the toast to pop up.
8. We always have to stay there if it is in the toaster.
9. You have to make sure that the toast is ready.
10. Get the knife and cut it in half for you or your brother.

Making soup.

PROCEDURE hOW TO MAKE SOUP
Ingredients:
Potatoes
carrot
Leeks

utensils
knife
Fruit box
table
Chop board


Method:
1. dice the potatoes
2. dice the carrots
3. cut the leeks into tiny pieces.
4. place all the above into a big bag
5. Add water
6. Add spice to taste
7. Bring to boil over the stove
8. allow to rest for a while.
9. boil and scrape the pumpkin into a bowl.
10. Pour in bowl and serve with bread.

When we write a procedure  we always start with a verb.

Steps:
Step 1. You put on a apron.
Step 2.  Draw are boarder.
Step 3. Draw five different fruits.
Step 4. Paint the fruits in different colour.
Step 5. After that you draw 4 or 5 lines.
Step 6. Get are vivid and draw over the fruit.
Step 7. Then get the same vivid to go over the line.

Making Breakfast

Ingredients:
Corn flakes
Rice bubbles
Milk
cereal


Utensils:
bowl
plate
spoon


Steps [method]


Step 1. pour milk into your bowl.
Step 2. add Corn flakes,Rice bubbles.
Step 3. cut are banana or are kiwi fruit.
Step 4. cut it then you can eat it.
Step 5. Add milk into you cereal.

Place, pour, add, Cut, Grate, slice, mash.

Making your own meal

First of all I like making sandwiches because you can add heaps of ingredients. If you put in junk food that will not be very healthy for your body. Junk food is not very good for you because it would not make you very fit and very good at the sport or the work that you do. It looks like the sandwich is very healthy option for me to eat everyday and every night.

The hall was packed with kids and it was also packed with teachers and students that were very hungry for more healthy food. We sat very quietly so we could hurry up and eat the food. The tuna was the coolest food that I ever ate.

The sandwich was very easy to do because I made a very delicious sandwich that tasted very yum and very cool. I want to thank the Pak'n'Save for all of the ingredients and thank you Mr Naidoo for the food in the hall I enjoyed it.

Sprinting is incredible

My favourite Olympic Sport is sprinting. This sport is played in a stadium. It is a team and an individual sport. The current Olympic Champion for 100m and 200m sprint is Usain Bolt. USAIN BOLT went past the people that were in front of him.

Sprinting is my favourite sport because when you run hard you get very fit. You are well and healthy. 

Another reason  Sprinting is my favourite sport is because you can get paid lots of money when you get a gold medal.
 

Finally sprinting is my favourite sport because you can win a gold medal, silver medal or a bronze medal.

The Equestrian competition at London 2012 is made up of three disciplines: Dressage, Eventing and Jumping. Each discipline requires different skills from the riders and horses competing.

Dear Mum

It was a beautiful morning . Thank you for the netbook mum, I really like it. It is very exciting. It is also very cool for my learning and for studying. The netbook launch was very cool because some of the teachers decorated the hall with long papers banners.
The netbook will help me with my maths and with my studying or if I get stuck on something that is very hard and very difficult.
Thanks mum for the beautiful netbook and thank you for paying for my netbook and being are supportive mum. I love you for doing stuff that I can’t do Thank you very much.

What is soil?

Soil is the top layer of our Earth. Soil helps trees grow so the trees stand up straight. Nutrients in soil come from dead bugs,dead leaves,and dead organic materials. Loam soil holds the right amount of water and air.

Why is soil important?

Soil helps plants grow from seeds. People need plants so they can eat fruits and vegetables.

Is soil a habitat?

Soil is a habitat for many species and for many plants as well. Earthworms live in soil and heaps of invertebrates live too.

Robots Rule

I think you should read this book because it is really exciting because it is all about robots.The robots are very cool because it has an actor inside it and a shark that is like a real animal that likes to eat people and like to eat fish and eels. Robots are very entertaining on the videos.The robots are very cool because they could keep people safe by diffusing bombs  and guns.The real robots have heaps of wires in them and metal stuff in their tummy and the hands.

red dragon

This is a red dragon that lives in the forest and that eats animals.Some dragons have fire in there mouth.They can burn trees down and they could eat living things in the forest and the river.The dragons are very strong and very tall.Some people kill dragons because they are very dangerous to people

It is sad because he died.Today they are bringing is body to Tonga an there will be some school girls there at is funeral.The boys were gone to lift coffin up and they took him to the royal palace.The royal palace will be packed of the people that loved him and cared about him.The people felt very sad when he died and when he had cancer.The next king will be his son and if he was still alive he will still be king and his son won't.The coffin that he's in it is royal and it is very clean and very nice.

This is Star Wars and it is a movie  on Sky. It is a very good movie on Sky channel 41 It is like a real man in the movie.  Some of the movies are in 3d such as  in the City of Aliens.I wish I was an alien in the world of the monsters.

roots of empathy

roots of empathy is really cool because we could touch the baby and make a friend with the baby.I was so happy when i heard about the baby coming to Rm10.I  felt like i just had a baby born like i was going to name it Etai and name the other one james

swimming sports

I love swimming because it is very cool because we can do heaps of things in the pool with our friends.it will be very cool.

warriors vs bulldogs

the warriors were versing the bulldogs at mt smart stadium in Auckland. Where the sports are and where people train them selves and where people come to see them train.last of all when the bulldogs got the ball they got a try because they worked as a team the score was 18 to 32

the king of Tonga died

the  king of Tonga died because he had cancer in the hospital.he had brothers and sisters that use to love him and care about him.when no one new about him no one new who is going to be the next king in Tonga.I felt sad when i new the king of Tonga died in the hospital.When my dad new about he was very angry about so he when to punch the wall.
